The European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE) is promoting the involvement of European residents and young surgeons in its teaching and research programmes through the development of the “Junior Platform”: for this purpose  for the first time during the 2009 18th Congress of ESGE  held  in Florence (Italy), a full day was dedicated to the “1st European Meeting of Ob/Gyn Residents and Junior Platform” focused on the residents' experiences in gynaecological surgery and experienced a large success among the Participants.

In the occasion of the 19th Annual Congress of ESGE, to be held in Barcelona (Spain), we will again have the opportunity to dedicate one complete day (Wednesday September 29, 2010) to the

"2nd European Meeting of Ob/Gyn Residents and Junior Platform”

Among all candidates from each country, one speaker will be selected to have free admission to the meeting and ESGE congress. A special prize of 500 Euro will be assigned to the best “communication” presented during the 29 September Meeting.

We will offer all Residents a very special low admission fee of 150 Euro, giving them the opportunity to participate in the European Meeting of Ob/Gyn Residents and Junior Platform and  in the 19th Congress of ESGE with no additional cost (except for Satellite and Pre-congress Course).

We believe that this opportunity, as well as their possible involvement in the teaching and research activities of ESGE, will be appreciated by the young surgeons. Our society trusts that the diffusion of minimally invasive surgery is very important, in particular among the surgeons of the future.
