Survey on Practice of Laparoscopic POP repair among ESGE members with also implementation of questions about the surgeon’s abilities to manage laparoscopic POP repair in case of abdominal mesh withdrawal.

Webinar ‘Alternative to laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy’. The webinar was presented on Saturday 24th of April 2021.
The SIG wrote a summary that was submitted for the next ESGEVISION. Survey on Practice of Laparoscopic POP repair among ESGE members with also implementation of questions about the surgeon’s abilities to manage laparoscopic POP repair in case of abdominal mesh withdrawal.

The survey has been submitted to the ESGE members and is now closed.
The SIG is finishing the writing of a manuscript which will be submitted soon to Facts, Views and Visions in Ob/Gyn

Regarding the results of the survey, there is still a lack of standardization of laparoscopic techniques for POP surgery and lack of guidelines for good practice. The group will work on recommendations to help the ESGE members for surgical management of POP and for the learning of these techniques.
